Green Waste Overview
Butte County residents of Thermalito, Kelly Ridge, Las Plumas and South Oroville will be provided curbside recycling and greenwaste collection starting in October 2007. This comes at no additional cost to customers with existing collection service.
Butte county residents in areas without curbside collection may still bring their recycling and greenwaste to the Norcal Waste Systems of Butte County facility. It is located at 2720 South Fifth Avenue in Oroville, and is open during our normal business hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm and Saturday, 8:30am to 4:00pm.
Only place organic materials into your green container!
Important Green Waste Notes!
Recycling, green waste and garbage containers are collected by a semi-automated sanitation truck. The automated truck requires ample room to collect containers safely and effectively. For more information on container placement, please view our Proper Container Placement And Storage page.
